Marina Simanovich founded Extraordinary College Advisors to help students and families approach that journey with confidence through personalized guidance, strategic planning, and one-on-one support.
As a Certified College Advisor (CCA), Marina works with students to identify colleges where they will thrive academically, personally, and financially. She provides comprehensive college advising, including college search and financial fit, major and career exploration, extracurricular and leadership development, application strategy, interview preparation, financial aid guidance, and college essay coaching.
Marina believes that every student has something extraordinary to offer. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she begins by understanding each student's unique strengths, interests, goals, and aspirations before developing a personalized admissions strategy that reflects who they truly are. Her students have earned admission to a wide range of outstanding colleges and universities, including Stanford, Cornell, Duke, Northeastern, UNC, George Washington, Babson, Penn State, Virginia Tech, the University of Miami, UConn, UMass Amherst, and many others.
Marina graduated Cum Laude from Brandeis University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a minor in Business. She also earned a Certificate of Specialization in Leadership & Management from Harvard Business School Online. She is a member of the National College Advocacy Group (NCAG), one of the nation's leading professional organizations for independent educational consultants, and is committed to staying current with the latest admissions trends and best practices.
Whether working with students on college planning, essays, interviews, or application strategy, Marina's goal is always the same: to help every student discover what makes them extraordinary and present the strongest, most authentic version of themselves.
